I have a 401K and an IRA, turned 70.5 on 12/29 and deferred last years RMD until now.  As I understand it I have to keep the 401K RMD withdrawal separate from my IRA RMD.  If I withdraw the remainder of the 401K, withhold tax, can I use that remainder as part of my overall RMD for this tax year?

I am currently pregnant. My birthday is in May, and I will turn 26. Baby is due in Feb/March. My parents insurance will NOT cover the baby after the hospital visit. So my boss has enrolled me and paid for the premium in the marketplace (with caresource) starting January for both my husband & I, and so I can add our baby once she is here. Now, my parents could not REMOVE me early from their policy without being penalized and paying even more for my sister until I age out, which again is in may. So my name will remain on the policy until then. NOW, should I began just using ONLY the caresource from marketplace as my primary come January since it is in my name? Or do I use both, as a primary and secondary until may comes just for myself? With this benefit me or disadvantage me???

My birthday is november 17 im born on 1988 but its so late in the year you could say 1989 or even 1990 but youd have to plug in the two years nov and dec thats not discussed and we are all 29 at 30 essentially anyways so my question is can you provide me with help its important im trying to complete older classes thank you ? Im 27 but i dont know if im 28 or 27 for two years or just 25 ? Could be niether i turn 28 in three so months persay thanks

I was curious on a ? Of age determines. Well my age or ect i know about the leapyear and the effects what i do not understand is which year does it apply. In all reality were all a year or so younger cause of the different birthday 12 month system my birthdays november 17 th 1988 iamborn on a leapyear but am i a leapyear who knows right. ? Lol so what id like to ask does being born so late in the 88 year it could be a whole year 2 or so years since its november and the next years are 89 90 are so close is it fairto say my actual age may be younger then the numbered calender suspects my name is paul please take this assist. ?

Possible contamination of garden #344441

Hello,
my neighbour cut up roof from my garage, plywood plus asphalt shingles, with saw in middle of my garden. We picked up as much as we could but some of it got mixed into the soil.
Recently I have read somewhere that heavy metals and asbestos are used in shingles manufacturing process.  
I did grow raspberries, cherry tomatoes, one big Guyanese "spinach" plant, one "crawling" spinach plant in respective distance from the messy area but some roots may have reached the messy, potentially contaminated area. Dust was probably blown into the wider area. I am seriously  alarmed about  it. Me and my wife have eaten produce but not much at all. We are not serious gardeners. Few caps of cherries, few caps of raspberries, few leaves of greens, actually very few only once since it didn't taste good.
We also had old asparagus plant which was exposed to some dirt from shingles. After couple of years we ate few asparagus spears and they did taste little bitter. We did wash them well and didn't use broth. I googled asparagus and I find out that it does taste little bitter some times, depending on weather and growing conditions, so I ate it. This messy event took place in 2008.
Can knowledgeable person help me out please.
I have read that heavy organic petroleum products do not get absorbed  readily by plants. I hope that is the case since heavy metals can by harmful. Also I wouldn't want asbestos dust blowing around. Shingles were manufactured after 1960, probably before 1976, purchased in Ontario, Canada.

How long to leave a foal and mare alone directly after birth? #333070

I am writing a book.  In it the mare is expecting her next foal.  How long after the birth do you recommend before a person should enter the stall?  Should the stall be cleaned immediately?  How long do foal and mare remain in this stall?  When does foal try to eat hay or normal feed?

How do we remove Carpenter Bees from our home? #314653

My wife and I attended and worked for PSU in the early 1960's. So, we value PSU information. Your web site has an article about Carpenter Bees but we would like more information on the long term removal of the bees from our home. We have a continuing expansion of the bees. They are "drilling" into the wood under our aluminum siding. We started with one hole and over a few years it has grown to five. The siding is marked and the fine wood dust covers the lower shingles and falls on our deck. We plan to have the aluminum siding around the affected area removed. Wood replaced and the siding replaced. How can we treat the wood so that the bees will not return or move to another part of our home? Dead Dogwood Tree #313486

last year the tree looked poorly, this year it looks leafless and dead. it was probably from the original 1960 landscape. the other dogwoods in the neighborhood are blooming and beautiful. 1. any thoughts on what could have killed it? 2. what other ornamental tree can we plant in its place, full sun, sprinkler system--a tree that would not be susceptible to any possible dogwood fungi etc.
