HELLO,I LIVE IN THE DAYTON AREA,WHAT TYPE OF GRAPES GROW WELL FOR THIS AREA'S CLIMATE

Hi I bought this Autumn Blaze Maple tree from Costco last year and planted it in my yard. I am noticing some damage near the base of the trunk from an unknown cause and I'm wondering if this is something I should be concerned about in terms of the Integrity of the tree moving forward? The tree continues to grow offshoots near the base as well. Should I consider removing it or will it heal itself and continue to grow ok?

Hello, I pruned the lilacs pictured in early spring. These are mature shrubs that were about 6’ tall. They were starting to get sparse growth near the bottoms. They have been regularly sheered. I used the principle of thirds. Taking out some of the oldest canes and bringing the height down by a third, going forward for two to three years. As you can see one of the shrubs grew back normally, but the others have small leaves on the branches. This is a customer of mine. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help these lilacs survive and if they don’t how much is my pruning a factor. There were also birds nest evergreen shrubs in front of the lilac that did not make it over the winter. Thanks so much! Suzan

This year I have noticed 20 or more dead honey bees on our deck. Also dead ones inside our rose blooms. We don’t use insecticides or spray flowers. We usually have quite a few in some small pools of water around the house. Our neighbor hasn’t noticed as many honey bees either. Is this more wide spread?

A large part of my potato patch has stunted plants and curled leaves. I think it might be spreading to healthy plants. What is it? How does one treat it?

One of my tomato plants has sever leaf curl from the top to about 3/4 down. i’m conscious about watering and don’t see any pests on the few leaves i have held my scope to. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Does my soil test tell me what type of soil I have (sandy, clay)?

I potted three grey dogwoods in early spring to plant in the ground in the fall. Until recently, they were thriving. Leafing out and growing in height. Then I noticed that one of the plant's leaves turned yellow and shrived up. I have attached a picture. Tonight I saw the second one doing the same thing. I removed the yellow leaves and placed all the potted plants in a partially shaded area. I had them in full sun. I believe the intense heat may have stressed the plants. Any thoughts? And is there anything I can do other than shelter them from the extreme temperatures. I hope to save the two plants and any chance to revive the first plant.

Hello, I noticed today one of several heuchera villosas wilted suddenly. The two on the left appear to be fine, as do several in other locations. This would have happened quite quickly--within the last few days. Should I pull it? I haven't been watering with all the recent rain.

What are these black specks on the squash plant? I see no movement so I assume they are not insects.
