These pictures were taken 3 to 4 weeks ago. I am curious to know what is effecting my Japanese maple. What is causing the leaf issues was on the leaves last

year, but as you can tell from the pictures there is full red leaves on the new shuts. I thought the tree would recover this season, it has not.

I have a 19 y/o Honey Crisp. I didn't thin the spring apples enough and now I have two broken branches. The leaves are still green and the apples seem to be okay. Should I cut those branches off? If so, when?

Hello, I have an offer to get some Polka raspberry plant cuttings this fall. Is there any way to: 1) Root them? 2) Keep them alive through the winter? 3) Make them ready to grow come spring? I have wondered about putting them in a damp sand mixture, keeping it damp and out of direct sunlight for the winter... like down in a root cellar. Would that work as long as they stay damp? I have a large forsythia "hedge" between my and my neighbor's backyards. On my side the forsythia is (not so slowly) intruding into my backyard, every year it takes another couple of feet through rooting stems. It's also infested with invasive vines. My plan is to cut our side of the hedge back to the ground so I can try to tackle the vines at the source with targeted herbicide application. What native shrubs can I plant for at least semi-privacy that will be able to stand up against the forsythia that is left on my neighbor's side? Our side is flat but it drops down pretty steeply on their side so anything that could help with erosion control would be great, and I'd like to have different shrubs mixed in so it doesn't need to be all one kind.

I think I now have jumping worms in my active compost container. I hate to lose all my compost! Is there anything I can do? Thanks for taking my question!
