Hi!! Oh thank you for taking this question!! We have day lilies, marigolds, snap dragons, Jupiter's beard, burning bush and lupin in our front landscaping. We are wondering if ponderosa pine needles which have fallen on top of our commercial grade mulch would be a problem? We would have to individually pick up one ponderosa pine needle at a time...... I have read that pine needles can be too acidic for other plants. But I also read that pine needles make great mulch. I don't see pine needle mulch in Colorado Springs. So, we would NOT be using Ponderosa pine needles as our main mulch. We bought mulch from a garden center and that is in with our flowers. The needles are from our neighbor's tree. We'd probably lay down fresh garden center mulch next spring in the flower beds.
Thank you for your professional advice!
