In the process of responding to a question regarding the use of spent coffee grounds in order to increase the acidity of soil for growing blueberries (Used Coffee Grounds #739824), on March 19, 2021, Gardener Linda Brewer commented, “I DO NOT take coffee grounds from coffee vendors.”
This caught my attention because I regularly add coffee grounds, given to me from a local coffee shop, to my metal composters.
Is it unwise to add coffee grounds obtained from commercial coffee shops to metal composters?
