We do offer a program to do some testing at no cost if you are interested for Benton County residents (December to March) - to sign up and find out more information you can visit https://beav.es/GZh
Alternatively, our local OSU Extension offices in Corvallis (on Research Way) and Tangent offer free nitrate screenings. During office hours you can bring in 1/2 cup of the sample for the screening and it takes about 10 minutes. We also have a community clinic on 11/7 at the Albany Farmers Market or 11/14 at the Corvallis Farmers Market - where interns are on-site doing screenings.
https://www.oregon.gov/oha/ph/healthyenvironments/drinkingwater/monitoring/pages/labs.aspx is the list of labs that can provide testing for a fee based upon what contaminants you are interested in. Arsenic, coliform bacteria and nitrate are the most common in this region. You will need to stop by the lab to get the sample bottles ahead of time and return them on ice.
