We recently purchased hay from a farmer in Posen area whom we don’t know as a grass mix.. The hay is very fine and soft, and we haven’t been able to determine what plants it consists of. Could you help us identify the plants so we know we can feed it to our horses, They also receive grain to supplement.

Hi Susan,
I will contact our forage specialist and see if she can identify it. Is there any other good description that you can give me besides "soft". It is really hard to determine grass species once it is made into hay. Also, have you contacted the farmer to ask what was in his mix?
