Linden Tree #946445

Asked October 04, 2026, 11:33 AM EDT

My Linden tree is covered in lady bugs. I called and someone got back to me we were wondering if the problem is aphids? I was able to figure out how to send a picture. I live out in the country surrounded by bean and corn fields. I hope you can open these pictures. I could text them too.

Expert Response

My picture app identifies these as multi-colored Asian Lady beetles, in other words a form of ladybug, just not the good kind. These web pages give more information about them. You may have some aphids on the tree which also shows some woodpecker damage. Woodpeckers go after insects that are near or under tree bark.
