I want to plant a hedge across my back fence, I am thinking of planting Weigela 'Sonic Bloom Pink. Is this a good time of year to plant them and do they do well in Minnesota and whether the winters okay?

Fall is a good time to plant shrubs and weigela do well here. I am not familiar with Sonic bloom pink but assume it has been trialed here.
