Dead. Possum or ground hog #943815

We found either a possum, ground hog or something else in one of our window wells. It’s been there at least three days. I saw it when I was in the yard on Saturday and it appeared almost dead. We don’t know if it is diseased or possibly has rabies,so we don’t want to move it until someone of authority looks at it. We live at 1553 Governor Bridge Road in Davidsonville. Would a picture help you?

Poor thing!  This is a groundhog. You can call your county's animal control division to see what they would recommend, or they may be able to send someone to help. Unless there have been reports of rabies, they will probably just have you put a board or branch down there for it to crawl out.
