A that was doing flyovers and circling in my room one night Last week. I head under the covers… The next evening it was located and a friend drove over half an hour later to help remove it. It had attached itself to the wall behind my bedroom door and out of vision of the hall light. My friend was able to wrap it in a rag and carry it out without hurting it , andletting it go at the end of the block at 11 PM… I have not seen nor heard a since, but I’m quite concerned that there could be more upstairs in the rafters of my house. I am 78 years old and unable to search for it upstairs as I can no longer walk on stairs. A friend of mine told me yesterday of the help she received from OSU extension and I’m Writing for assistance in the removal of any other possible bats in my home.,, HELP, please!

OSU Extension is unable and unequipped to offer pest or wildlife control services. If there is ANY chance the bat made contact with your skin (or your friend's skin) either through a scratch or bite, you need to immediately contact your own physician or County Public Health(see below) to see whether you should receive rabies prophylaxis treatments. https://www.polkcountyor.gov/212/Public-Health

Given that you have had 2 bats find entry to your living space, it would be an excellent idea to have a wildlife control operator look for potential entry points and to see if they can detect animals living in your attic or other parts of the structure. Also, make sure your screens are tight, that doors are shut, and that any insect-attracting lights near those points of entry are off at night -- The light attracts insects, the insects attract the bats!
