Plants #941716

Asked August 06, 2026, 12:57 PM EDT

Interested in transforming my front yard with low growing ground cover plants. I’ve had wood chips last few years but the weeds have overtaken. I’m currently digging up all the weeds and looking for help in how to proceed. Seed vs plants

Thank you for reaching out. Buying plants would be a faster transformation. But the seeds will cost you less and you will get probably  get a little bit stronger plant with the seeds. You will also have to wait a little longer for the seeds.
My suggestion would be is to figure out what you want to plant and then make sure that it can be in one form or the other. You may not have a choice  depending on your decision.

Weeds will always be a problem. Especially if you’re going for a B lawn or wildflower look. You would have to keep up with them to keep the weeds down as much as you can. Also, it will be important to water regularly, especially if it stays as dry as it is.
