Go into the store armed with the active ingredient listed in the chart and you can select the miticide treatment that meets your needs.

Note that increased water (including some jetted hosing) can help. Also, often mites have natural predators that keep these mites in check. Many insecticides used in the area can eliminate/kill those natural predators and cause increased populations of mites.

Watch for next year’s new growth, and prune out any dead (crispy) branches at ground level. Depending on how much damage is done, you may have some bare areas but over time they may fill back in with new growth.
