Inquiry Regarding Tree Root Pressure and Adjacent Sidewalk Damage #941185

Can you provide your professional opinion on whether a tree root that has lifted one sidewalk panel approximately 2½ inches could create pressure or contribute to damage on the adjacent sidewalk panel?

We would guess that any tree root lifting or buckling a section of pavement will continue to affect the surrounding pavement, but we are not certified arborists or have training in structural engineering to be certain or to provide any more detail. You may need to consult with an arborist or engineer.
