Expert Response

Your turf’s reaction to extreme heat depends on the care it has had through the season thus far and how much sun/shade your yard has. It is recommended to not mow at less than 3”. The longer the grass the less stress heat will have on it. Turf needs about 1” of water/week. This can be accomplished through rain or a watering system. Watering should occur in the early AM to reduce evaporation. Below are two links that give more information about watering your turf.
