Thanks for the thoughtful question. It’s a fun one, and a bit outside our usual horticulture and pest‑management wheelhouse, that being said, I can point you toward what the research does say. There’s currently no evidence that spotted‑wing drosophila (SWD) larvae increase the nutritional value of raspberries in any measurable way. While insect larvae in general are high in protein, the amount present in an infested berry is extremely small and doesn’t change the fruit’s overall nutrient profile.
