We cannot suggest a specific herbicide for targeting bindweed. Neither is it really possible to completely eradicate bindweed. However, we generally promote a holistic approach to pests and weeds: https://extension.colostate.edu/resource/weed-management/
Here are some additional resources on bindweed:

Bindweed enjoys a very extensive root system, which means that applying a herbicide will likely only affect above-ground growth. With any herbicide, you should take care to follow the label's use instructions.
Regardless of whether you move forward with herbicide, I suggest some complementary actions as part of an integrated weed management approach:
1. Take care of your turf to give it the best shot at outcompeting the bindweed. That is, mow your lawn high (if you are looking to keep the grass, otherwise, consider solarization), provide adequate nutrients to the turf (nitrogen fertilizer, for example, or organic matter), and water as needed.
2. Biological control via bindweed mites: https://ag.colorado.gov/conservation/biocontrol/field-bindweed
3. Avoid tilling, which can cause seeds to spread.
4. Pulling bindweed regularly can eventually cause the plant to starve, but it is a long and arduous process.
Good luck!
