Zucchini leaves #935051

Asked June 10, 2026, 7:16 PM EDT

Is this powdery mildew or something else on my zucchini leaves. Last year it made the leaves dry up and die

Expert Response

The leaves look healthy. The white you see looks like variegation which is natural color variation of the leaves and nothing to worry about. One clue is that the white color has a pattern to it, you can see it follows the veins, powdery mildew looks a lot like someone has randomly dusted the leaves with talcum powder.
Since you have had problems with powdery mildew in the past, I am sending along a Fact Sheet on the disease which talks about symptoms, what you can do to prevent and deal with the fungus.

Hope that helps!
