Another question for you - after the 1/4 of dunk tablet is no longer effective (30 days), do I just dump the old water in the grass or refill and add more water to what is already existing?

I would refresh it with new water and new plant material. The plant material does break down so you want to add fresh material to break down to attract the female mosquitoes!
