Most houseplant problems are the result of too much water or too little water. The appearance of the plant might be the same in both situations, so I'm not able to guess which issue (or if it is something else) is at work here.
Check the water levels, either by sticking a pinkie in the soil or using an inexpensive hydrometer (which is a good purchase if you want to grow houseplants). If it is waterlogged, repotting might help (I can't see the pot from the photo).
