Hello,
I have an ash tree sapling that has planted itself into my back garden- but against the house. I don't want it there and was wondering if I could dig it up and give it to you ? I know ashes have been at risk so want to give this little guy a good chance to survive.

Expert Response
Thank you for writing. Ash trees are dying and it is very expensive and not effective to try to save them. They have a large and aggressive root system that can penetrate pipes and foundations. That one is small enough to dig out with a shovel and discard with lawn waste.
