Honeybees? How to move them. #930075

Asked April 29, 2026, 4:36 PM EDT

We seem to have a hive move into the pressure washer we have on our back porch. My partner is allergic so we have to move them and was wondering if A. Are these honeybees. B. Is there anyone in the area that removes honeybee hives? I have a short video of one of them flying in but I can’t upload video here. Thanks

These are not Honey Bees. They are Mason Bees and the female bee is laying an egg in the hole and covering it with mud to protect the egg. It is rare that they sting and it is less of an issue than the sting from a Honey Bee.

I have attached some papers on these bees.
