Hello - I have been battling with POA in my yard trying to put do prodiamine early spring and in the fall to curb the seeds in my residential lawn. Not specifically sure which I have have, but it has small blades and feels rubbery almost synthetic like. Any suggestions how to proceed, products, herbicides and whatnot? Live in Rockford, MI - Kent county with a mix of KBG, Rye and Fescue Do my own Fert so I can control products and timing. Photo's attached for reference

Expert Response

Good Morning,
It is hard to identify the type of grass without looking at the blades. See attached for help in identification.

Once it is identified we can help determine on how to treat it. I recommend contacting MSU Plant Diagnostic lab. Please start by emailing your question and pictures to them. Include info such as when and how much you water, when you lasted fertilized, what other chemicals were applied and when. If they need a sod sample they will contact you. https://www.canr.msu.edu/pestid/

I hope this helps. Thanks for using our service.
