Horse lodging near subdivision. Does the Right to Farm Act have any information. #928520

Asked April 15, 2026, 4:57 PM EDT

I am wondering what the current Right to Farm Act covers about housing a horse near a subdivision does it address the size of lot, location of buildings or anything else? When it talks about distance to other residences nearby is that from building to building or structure to structure? Also does the Right to Farm Act supersede Township zoning rules? Thank you for your time.

Cindy,
There are several factors that will come into play to determine if Right to Farm will apply.  Please feel free to call me at<personal data hidden> to discuss in detail.  After a brief discussion and asking a few questions, I should be able to very specifically tell you where Right to Farm and local zoning stand in your particular case.
