Leaves Dying on Basswood Tree #928511
Asked April 15, 2026, 3:53 PM EDT
I have a Basswood tree in my front yard where the leaves become discolored and die over the course of the summer. It flowers just fine in the spring but the leaves start become discolored (initially yellowing) and begin dropping off around Memorial day. For the last two years I've picked them up (literally daily) as they come down but this has not helped. Would you suggest spraying? If so, when should I do it. Is there anything I can do before the leaves sprout? Thank you.
Note: I wish I had a photo (or sample) I could send but unfortunately, I don't
