Moss carpet in my lawn? #928047

How do I remove it or best kill it before aerating and re seeding?

Thank you for writing. 
There is no reason to worry about this. Moss comes to moist, cool environments. It will disappear as the growing season advances. You should not overwater your lawn and should ensure that it drains properly, possible adding topsoil to depressed areas.
