Thanks for the questions. It is great that you are starting with a soil test, which will determine what fertilizer application is needed.
Yes, aeration is helpful. The type with hollow tines creating those 'little cigars' is best. Check the attached link to determine if aeration is needed. Fall is the best time for aeration but you can do in the spring, after the lawn has been mowed twice.

I am not familiar with fertigation. Typically, a lawn does not need frequent fertilization. Research shows one application in the fall is best. If necessary, a spring application may be applied.
