Looking for permanent home for two American Elm saplings #927839

Asked April 08, 2026, 2:49 PM EDT

Hi, we have two American Elm saplings, about 1-1.5' tall overwintered well in pots, and ready to transplant to a longterm/lifetime location. Our property is not suitable. They are the progeny of the 100 year old huge elm, lately deceased, on Water Street behind the Newmarket Community Church, so of some historic significance. Can the Extension help us find a spot for them? Looking to connect with property owners or organizations that would be excited by this type of tree, and committed to longterm care. Thank you.
