When is it OK to trim my oak tree so that it doesn’t get wilt disease?

Thank you for writing.
You are outside of the window for pruning oaks EXCEPT when a damaged branch poses a danger to a structure or people.
I cannot comment on your specific tree. In general, I suggest late this summer to sign a contract with an arborist for January/February pruning. Additional benefits: their rates are lower then. See my signature on how to find an arborist.
