Jumping Worms #926977

Asked March 28, 2026, 6:23 PM EDT

My yard is infested with jumping worms. I have bags of leaves that have those darn worms. Is there a place I can get those bags burned so these jumping worms don't spread to other lawns. I have been unsuccessful in killin them in my yard/garden. I'm trying so hard as to not spread to others and I feel like I'm losing the war. I have researched the internet about them and have tried everything they recommend short of burning my lawn. Any help appreciated. Thank you for your time. Diane Tellez/<personal data hidden>

Greetings,

I am sorry to hear about that pest.  I get a lot of reports about them.  They can be very difficult to eliminate.  While I do not know of a place to take leaves to burn, I did find an online presentation by a Master Gardener who shows how she deals with them that might help.
