Is it too early to topdress/overseed

The best time to overseed your lawn in our area is mid-August-September. This fall window offers warm soil, cool nights, and consistent rain, ensuring rapid germination. An alternative, less ideal time is spring (mid-April to early June), which helps grass establish before summer heat.

Our mission is to help Cooperative Extension generate a more visible, measurable, local act.
