Wondering if this plant needs to be tested #926853

Asked March 26, 2026, 5:53 PM EDT

I'm sending photos of the roots of a dahlia cuttings, plus a photo of the tuber it was taken from. The tuber is healthy, and doesn't show any signs of the brown nodules that are on the roots of the cutting. The nodules are the same color as the gnatrol I am using, so I am wondering if they could be little colonies of bacteria. Both plants are in ProMix which we buy from our co-op. I have fed a fermented compost amendment which includes molasses and coffee grounds. I'd like to know if you recommend having these cuttings tested, and whether or not I should send them in as though they need to be tested for nematodes. Thank you.
