I have been trying to get rid of English for serval years now by the pull and dig method but it keeps coming back.
I think I need to try the Cut and Paint or Spray method. What chemical to you recommend for painting or spraying?

We don't maintain a list of effective or tested herbicide ingredients or mixes, so you may just need to see what available product(s) list English Ivy on the label's list of weeds controlled. Often, active ingredients used for woody vines are either glyphosate or triclopyr. Bear in mind that with the cut-stump treatment method, the herbicide usually needs to be applied very quickly after the cut is made (often within a few minutes), so it may not work well if a vine is cut and treated hours or days later. What concentration of herbicide to use will depend on the formulation, so refer to the product label for application details.
