Is there some group or organization in Coos County that offers respite to grandparents raising young grandchildren?
I am asking for my brother and his wife that live in Coos Bay.

The Family Caregiver Support Program helps grandparents or relative caregivers 55 years of age or older who care for children 18 years of age or younger. Check with the local Area Agency on Aging (AAA) to see if they have a family caregiver coordinator or options counselor. This person can talk with your brother about local services. In Coos county the agency to contact is South Coast Business (phone: <personal data hidden>). The Senior Services program at South Coast Business supports protective and health services for seniors throughout Coos and Curry counties, and is one of sixteen Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) in Oregon.
