I would like advice for growing radicchio. I have a varietal from Barcelona that I grew from seed and over winter edition in our garden. It's sprouting now.

Expert Response

Hi- radicchio is a cool-season crop usually planted in late summer for late fall harvest. As a group, they are somewhat cold hardy but we're impressed that yours survived a very cold January and February. Hopefully it will reach a harvestable size before long days cause a seed stalk to form.
