Greetings - I am working with a community attempting to quantify economic effects of an AI-data center proposed for Lowell,MI. To that end, I am trying to compile a list of operating farms in the area with farm animals (cows, chickens, pigs, and horses). Do you know of any lists that may exist? Do you have any suggestions for how I might compile such a list?

Michigan State University does not keep track of that information. Your best possible sources would be the Country Registrar's Office or the County Clerk's Office to determine if that information is available. Keep in mind that you may need to request that information via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. However, certain pieces of information you're looking for may be protected by the Privacy Act.
