Someone has planted bamboo in a county forest buffer and it is beginning to spread. Can the county remove it now while it is small before it spreads into a real problem? Location is on right side of Bauernschmidt Dr. just after Leyland CT. between the road and the townhomes.

Expert Response
Unfortunately we don't have this information (other than to say that yes, removal before it spreads further would definitely be very labor- and cost-saving), but you can inquire with local government. A Maryland law passed a few years ago gave municipalities and counties the ability to legislate bamboo planting, control, and removal, but we don't know where such laws may exist currently.
