Thanks for reaching out with this question. MSU doesn't endorse queen providers. You can use Northern Bee Network to connect with beekeepers raising queens, or you can try asking for recommendations from your local beekeeping club or in the local beekeeping groups on Facebook.
It's common that beekeepers want to split colonies before queens that are mated and raised in Michigan are available. You may want to consider purchasing mated queens from outside of Michigan if you want them in time for spring splits.
If you want queens raised in Michigan, you may want to take steps to deter swarming (like adding honey supers on early) and consider using queen cells instead of mated queens, since cells are available before mated queens. I'm not aware of many Michigan beekeepers who have Michigan queens or queen cells in time for splits, but you could try raising your own queens and using queen cells in your splits. Or you could do walkaway splits and let your splits raise their own queens.
