Testing soil for ph of indoor plants #924401

Would you recommend a meter to test the soil of my indoor plants and if so which ones do you find work best?

pH meters are rarely needed for indoor plants except azaleas and philodendrons which require very acid conditions. See bottom section here. https://soiltesting.cahnr.uconn.edu/plant-ph-preferences/

pH metering is a simple technology and indoor pots are an easy testing environment. Inexpensive meters are available at any garden store.
pH problems are rarely a prime cause of indoor plant distress. Poor drainage, improper lighting, and water from a home water softener are the most frequent environmental problems for indoor plants. If you have a water softener, use bottled, non carbonated water for plants.
