pruning spruce tree #924378

I have two large spruce trees in the front yard, east side of the house. I want to prune the lowest branches. Has it been cold enough to do that?

We haven't had snow, but we've had periods of cold and temperatures often get down to freezing at night so, for purposes of pruning, this is a good time.
