Sow bugs "rolly Pollys" #923971

Two dead outs so far. Fist fuls of pill bugs/sowbugs in the hive. They were there before and after I treated with Apivar. Tried cinamin, new equipment, etc. Running standard langstroth 10 frames. Lifted 2 feet off ground. Suggestions?

I want to make sure I understand the situation you are describing:

  • Where are you and the hives located?
  • What do you mean you used the term “Two dead outs so far?
  • The sow bugs have been found inside a bee hive. Where in the hive?
  • They were found in the hive before you treated.
  • They are still present in the hive after you have treated with Apivar? How did you treat?
  • You have treated with cinamin? How did you treat?
  • The amount of sow bug present is more than a handful.
  • What do you think they are doing in the hive?
