Sourcing mesh or fully ventilated tree seedling tubes #923654

Asked January 15, 2026, 10:01 AM EST

Hello, my husband and I are in year two of a large tree-planting project in Menominee County. This year, we are planting aspen, maple, and spruce seedlings. Last year, we sourced 48”H x 4”W mesh tree tubes from an online supplier. This year, that product is out of stock. We are hoping to find a similar product (preferably in the state of Michigan or northern Wisconsin) that we can order in the amount of at least 300 tubes. We are open to other online sources, but shipping costs are likely to push us over our budget of $500. Is there a source that would be recommended for this type of product? Is our budget unrealistic? Thank you for any guidance.

Expert Response

Hi Erika,
Best recommendation I can make is to contact the Menominee Conservation District to see if they can help source the tubes. In addition to hosting annual spring tree sales, they often have accompanying supplies on hand.

Your local Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) representative may also have an idea where to purchase the tubes locally.

If you've already tried these folks, please let me know and I can dig a bit deeper.

Thank you,
