You could ask your local extension office if they know of any county-wide programs that may be in Montgomery County. There is also the Rainscapes program that you could look into for potential rebates.
There is also the state-wide Marylanders Plant Trees program that offers rebates for certain tree species from qualifying nurseries.
January is National Seed Swap month, so your extension office may know of certain events coming up for seed swaps you can attend. Often, you don't need to have seeds to share to participate. Starting seeds with winter sowing can be an economical way to grow native perennial plants as well.
