Community Garden Question #923579

Good afternoon, I would love to find a community garden that my kids and I could rent a spot and have a little garden. The kids are 5 and very excited to learn how to grow some plants. We are in Hillsborough, and I haven't been able to locate anything like that nearby. Are there any garden projects in or around Hillsborough that we could connect with? Thanks so much for any help with this.

Please give me a call,<personal data hidden>.  I am the Orange County Crops and Horticulture Agent here in Hillsborough.  I have a list of community gardens.  Most don't necessarily have space to 'rent', but they do have a coordinator and always looking for assistance in the garden.  When you call, we can discuss exactly where you live so we can find something closer to you that may fit. 

Alternately, you may want to partner up with others to start your own community  garden.
