Cutting a few branches on maple tree #923295

Hello, I have a couple of 30 year old maple trees that have low branches that I need to cut off to be able to get the lawn mower around them easier. Can I cut these now or is there a better time of year for this? Thank you.

Thank you for your question!   
Now is a fine time to prune your maple tree. Later in spring when the sap is beginning to flow, the cuts may damage the tree.
