Watering needs of Rocky Mountain Glow Maple #923073

Asked December 24, 2025, 12:32 PM EST

I have a 7-year old Rocky Mountain Glow Maple. It was planted with a drip line to it. I do not know how many emitters were used and where they were positioned. The tree seems to be doing well. The drip line operates 3x/week during growing season. I've recently read that the tree only needs watering during extended dry periods and thus there is no need for the drip line. Do you agree?
