Can you identify this critter? Found in my car today. I want to make sure it is not an invasive. Thank you. Linda

Linda:

This is a non-native Brown Marmorated Stink Bug that is becoming more common in Oregon.

Vacuuming them up will get rid of some of the bugs, but vacuuming up Stink Bugs can spread the order into other parts of your house or car. It is more work but wearing nitrile (or similar gloves) and hand picking them up and placing the bugs into a small bucket of soapy water works well. I am thinking you have an outside infestation of these bugs. You should check the outsides of your house and if you see them, you may be able to achieve some control of the bugs before they get inside your house by washing the walls or whatever part of your house has the bugs with soapy water. Keep the car windows closed as these bugs can crawl a small hole or crack.
