Hello and thank you for your question. The Washtenaw County Extension office should have Home Lawn and Garden test kits on hand to sell to the general public. However, I would suggest calling ahead to time just to make sure. The Washtenaw County Extension office phone number is<personal data hidden>. You can also purchase the test kits online if that is more convenient (https://shop.msu.edu/products/soil-test-mailer).
The kits are pre-labeled to be sent to A&L Labs where they analyze the soil samples. A&L labs then send the results to MSU Extension where a recommendation will be generated and sent to you by expert MSU Extension staff. All MSU recommendations utilize the latest research and follow state laws and guidelines.
