Chicken Eggs to Incubatr #922801

I raise chickens and am also a school librarian. This year the school gave me an egg incubator and asked if I would hatch eggs for the students to observe. My plan is to add them to my flock. So far, I have only raised chickens from chicks.
Where to start? Do you have any tips? I’m especially concerned about the timing. How do I make sure they don’t hatch when I am at home? Can I bring them home on the weekend?
Finally, are there any local suppliers for the fertilized eggs?
