School courtyard garden assistance - Roseville school #922134

Asked November 18, 2025, 4:46 PM EST

Hi, We are the forest committee at a school in the metro area. We have a courtyard in the center of the school that we are trying to rehabilitate into an outdoor classroom and sensory path. Currently, there is a lot of grass growing and we are trying to replace the grass with native plants. We are wondering if someone can advise us on how best to remove the grass and what native plants would do well in our ecosystem.
